Operation Food Drive @ HPE

Our Highland Park Huskies are demonstrating their generosity and spirit of giving by undertaking their annual OPERATION FOOD DRIVE.

Starting Monday, December 1st until Friday, December 12, students are asked to bring non perishable items that will be donated to a local food bank to support families experiencing hardship.

Food items will be collected and counted by classrooms each day and tallied by Ms. MacDonald/Ms. Bergman’s class. Our generous PAC has offered a pizza luncheon to one class, from EACH of the following groupings, that brings the most food items:

Group 1: Mrs. Sandberg, Mrs. Myhre, Mrs. Johnson, Ms. Cooper and Mrs. Terrell

Group 2: Ms. Fassbender, Mrs. Kalf, Mrs. Ricard, Mrs. Coombs, Ms. Daughtry

Group 3: Mrs. MacDonald/Ms. Bergman, Mr. Benge, Mr. Mr. Byrnes, Mr. Vallance

Our cut off for the friendly classroom competition will be Friday, December 12 at 9 am so we can announce the winner before recess.

We will also be collecting non perishables at our Winter Concert on Thursday, December 18, however these items will not be part of the competition.
